Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
