Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
