Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
