The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Star when it plunges, 1 your companion has neither strayed nor is he misguided, 2 Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire. 3 Indeed it is not except a Revelation which is revealed, 4 and taught to him 5 The Strong; then the Spectacle inclined towards him. 6 while he was in the highest horizon; 7 Then he approached and descended 8 until he was two bows' length away, or nearer. 9 So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave [Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)]. 10 The heart lied not in that which he saw. 11 Will you dispute with him what he saw? 12 For indeed he saw him at a second descent, 13 by the Lote-Tree of the Boundary 14 near which is the Garden of Abode. 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 The sight did not shift, nor did it cross the limits. 17 Indeed he saw some of the greatest signs of His Lord. 18 Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-'Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs). 19 and your third idol al-Manat (whom you considered as God's daughters)? 20 What! for you the males and for Him the females! 21 That indeed is a division most unfair! 22 They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance. 23 Shall man have whatsoever he wisheth for! 24 To Allah belong both the Next World and the present. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
