Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
