Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
