(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
