Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
