Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
