(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
