Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
