(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
