Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
