The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
