The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created the human being 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
