The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
