The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
