The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
