The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 and spreading shade 30 And water gushing, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
