a large group of the earlier people 39 and a good many of later times. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 Under the shadow of thick black smoke 43 neither cool nor refreshing. 44 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty. 45 and they persisted obstinately in awful sin, 46 And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again, 47 And so will our fathers?" 48 Proclaim, "Without doubt all - the former and the latter." 49 will indeed be gathered together at an appointed time on a Day known [only to God]: 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers - 51 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom, 52 You shall fill your bellies with it, 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 lapping it down like thirsty camels.' 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Judgement. 56 It is We who have created you. Why then did you not testify to the Truth? 57 Have you seen that which you emit? 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Do you make it grow or is it We who make it grow? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 Have you considered the water which you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 If We willed, surely We would make it brackish. Wherefore give ye not thanks? 70 And have you seen the fire that you ignite? 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
