The Column (Al-Suff)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? 2 It is most loathsome in the sight of Allah that you should profess what you do not practise. 3 Surely God loves those who fight in His cause in full formations as though they were a compact wall. 4 And when Musa said to his people: O my people! why do you give me trouble? And you know indeed that I am Allah's apostle to you; but when they turned aside, Allah made their hearts turn aside, and Allah does not guide the transgressing people. 5 And when (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'Children of Israel, I am sent to you by Allah to confirm the Torah that was before me, and to give news of a Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) who will come after me whose name shall be Ahmad' Yet when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: 'This is clear sorcery' 6 Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against God when he is called to submit? God does not show the evil-doers the way. 7 Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse. 8 It is He Who has sent His Noble Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, in order that He may make it prevail over all other religions, even if the polytheists get annoyed. 9
