The Column (Al-Suff)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God. He is the Majestic and All-wise. 1 O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? 2 Very hateful is it to God, that you say what you do not. 3 Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly. 4 And when Musa said to his people: O my people! why do you give me trouble? And you know indeed that I am Allah's apostle to you; but when they turned aside, Allah made their hearts turn aside, and Allah does not guide the transgressing people. 5 And when Isa son of Marium said: O children of Israel! surely I am the apostle of Allah to you, verifying that which is before me of the Taurat and giving the good news of an Apostle who will come after me, his name being Ahmad, but when he came to them with clear arguments they said: This is clear magic. 6 Who could be more wicked than one who invents lies about God when called to submit to Him? God does not guide the wrongdoers: 7 Fain would they extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths; and Allah is going to perfect His light, even though averse may be the infidels. 8 It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that he may uplift it above every religion, though the unbelievers be averse. 9
