Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who created the seven skies one above the other. Do you see any disproportion in the creations of Ar-Rahman? Turn your eyes again. Do you see any fissures? 3 Turn your eyes again and again. Your gaze turns back dazed and tired. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord, is the punishment of hell; and what a wretched outcome! 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 [As against this,] behold, for those who stand in awe of God although He is beyond the reach of their perception, there is forgiveness in store and a great reward. 12 AND [know, O men, that] whether you keep your beliefs secret or state them openly, He has full knowledge indeed of all that is in [your] hearts. 13 Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? 14
