It is He who made the earth submissive to you; therefore walk in its tracts, and eat of His provision; to Him is the Uprising. 15 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not cause you to sink into the earth when it is violently shaking? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in heaven will not send against you a whirlwind to pelt you with stones, so that you will know how [true] My warning was? 17 Those who came before them also gave the lie (to the Messengers): then how awesome was My chastisement! 18 Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything. 19 Or who is he that will be an army unto you to help you instead of the Beneficent? The disbelievers are in naught but illusion. 20 Or who is this that shall provide for you if He withholds His provision? No, but they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Who is better guided: he who walks grovelling on his face, or he who walks upright on a Straight Path? 22 Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." 23 Say thou: He it is Who hath spread you over the earth, and unto Him ye shall be gathered. 24 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 25 Say: The knowledge is with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner; 26 At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say: 'He is the Merciful. In Him we believe and in Him we put all our trust. Indeed, you shall soon know who is in clear error' 29 Say thou: bethink ye, were your water to be sunk away, who then could bring you water welling-up? 30
