Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
I do not need to swear by what you see 38 as well as all that you cannot see! 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. 42 It is a Revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Had he invented sayings against Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing; 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
