But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And that which you do not see. 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, 44 We would have seized him by his right hand, 45 and then severed his life vein; 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous. 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
