The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn! 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 And your clothing purify 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 Not of ease, for disbelievers. 10 LEAVE Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 and appointed for him ample wealth 12 and sons ever present with him, 13 And made things easy for them. 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Nay! Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. 31
