The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 purify your garments; 4 And uncleanness do shun, 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 And [warn all men that] when the trumpet-call [of resurrection] is sounded, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 and it will not be easy for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 And give him vast riches, 12 And sons present by his side. 13 And made things easy for them. 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 Nay! He is forward unto Our signs; 16 I shall inflict on him hardship, 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Again accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 20 Then he considered [again]; 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 This is nothing but the word of mortal man!" 25 Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It spares not, neither leaves alone 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Above it are nineteen. 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
