No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
