I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
