By no means! By the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
