Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
