Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
