Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs unto a people who reflect. 5 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom. 11
