Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
