Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
