Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
