Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
