Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
