Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
