Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
