Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
