Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
