Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
