Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
