Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
