Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
