Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
