Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
