Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
